A single photograph can tell many stories. Created for the Point of View exhibit, Perception is Gary Cota’s interpretation of a photograph by John Tunney. Within the landscape, Gary discovered the profile of a wise old man formed by trees, cascading water, and the natural world. Surrounding him, hidden wildlife and intricate details reward careful observation, reminding us that perception is deeply personal. The longer you look, the more the carving reveals.
