Read, Reading, Red

Read, Reading, Red is an original painted wood carving exploring color, texture, form, and the natural character of wood. It explores the relationship between color, texture, and carved form. Layers of painted and natural wood create a dynamic composition, with flowing shapes and detailed carving drawing the eye across the surface.

This piece won Best in Show at the Cape Cod Art Center Red Exhibit. It was also displayed at the Smithsonian’s Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center.
