Under Water reflects a fascination with the life hidden beneath the surface of the sea. The layered forms of the whales, shifting water, changing light, and textured surface create a sense of movement and depth, offering a glimpse into a world we rarely see.
The piece explores the relationship between form, movement, texture, and the natural world. The changing patterns of the water and the movement of the whales become part of the composition, capturing a fleeting view of life beneath the surface.
This piece was created for the collaborative exhibit between Cape Cod Art Center and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
